responsibilities:
- implement the supplier development strategy and processes supported by instructional manuals, policies and procedures that govern the qualification, development, monitoring and evaluation of metalsa suppliers.
- provide technical input for global and/or regional strategic sourcing projects as assigned, including evaluation of supplier capability, specification review, product implementation and part transition.
- review and evaluate the metalsa supplier business assessments (msbas) provided by suppliers, conduct on-site audits as needed and develop supplier improvement plans (if applicable). maintain current files of completed msbas.
- follow up the certification status of suppliers, action plans and improvement plans to promote quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes in accordance with automotive standards.
- coordinate and ensure the proper flow and execution of the advanced product quality planning process (apqp) with each supplier on every new project/part.
- provide support to the local operations team for supplier issues that put the operation at risk or have a serious negative impact on quality or delivery to the customer.
- participate in the cross-functional teams that conduct technical discussions with suppliers to identify and implement va/ve.
requests:
- bachelor degree and above.
- 5+ years of automotive industry experience (engineering, commodity management, purchasing, quality).
- 3+ years supplier development.
- 3 – 5 years project management.
- fluent oral english.
- lean manufacturing.
- familiar with apqp / ppap, core tools (aiag), iso ts 16949.
- iso 14000 auditor preferred, iso 18000 auditor preferred, vda 6.3 auditor preferred.
