Objective
This position is a backfill role to manage all strategic sourcing related to the spend of marketing and sales categories, i.e.: core categories are Integrating Marketing Communication (IMC) media placement, MICE and etc.). Under the company’s procurement policy, this position not only leads the team on category sourcing strategy development/implementation, new supplier sourcing/on-boarding, and supplier relationship management to ensure that cost, quality and risk are properly managed, but also leads the stakeholder engagement in an effective and efficient way to support the business growth.
Main Responsibilities
Sourcing Strategy Development, Roll-out and Implementation for Indirect
Lead the sourcing strategy development upon aligned business needs with key stakeholders (marketing and commercial/sales).
Lead end to end sourcing activities, which includes but not limits to comprehensive Industry and market analysis, should cost model development, sourcing quality uplifting upon aligned strategies, best practices, and detail tactical plans.
Hands on core strategic projects and provide clear guidance to the team on RFx process, negotiation plan development and contract lifecycle management.
Build solid foundation of all categories via robust supplier pool, systematic performance tracking tools and supply resilience development.
Hold highest standard on compliance and play as one of the gate-keeps for the company. Ensure all sourcing activities comply with company policies and ethical standards
Cost Optimization and Budget Control
Take the initiatives to lead and guide team on spend data analyze to identify trends, risk, and opportunities for YOY cost reduction.
Implement cost saving initiatives while maintaining service levels and compliance.
Collaborate with finance and business units to align action plans with budgetary goals. Supplier Relationship Management
Develop supplier portfolio with incumbent supplier management, segmentation and management strategy, onboard/exit guidance to enhance supplier pool governance, performance management and capability development.
Lead team to collect feedback and collaborate with stakeholders to drive supplier performance improvement and follow up corrective actions when necessary.
Play as an industry expert to lead fit-for-use innovation with supplier and bring the best outside in to the key business units.
Ensure suppliers’ full compliance of company policies and ethic requirement. Stakeholder Management/Communication
Serve as a trust worthy business partner with all stakeholders to understand business needs, priorities and the desire outcomes. Via-s-vis, provide procurement expertise to meet/exceed business expectations in order to drive long term growth of the company.
Work collaboratively and demonstrate cross functional leadership in stakeholder management and drive procurement policies/processes. Actively seek for stakeholder’s feedback to identify opportunity of streamlining and rationalizing all indirect categories.
Lead periodically review with core stakeholders for category strategies, procurement policy/processes, and respective sourcing initiatives. Team Management
Lead a team consisting of 4 direct reports that support all category sourcing.
Improve sourcing skill/capability of the team as well as uplift the moral of the team.
