This Staff Engineer mainly engage in formulation and process development, material characterization studies, Design of Experiments (DOE), and performance validation, primarily focusing on rubber but also including related products across the entire department.
Job Responsibilities:
61 Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing engineering, quality, commercial, sourcing, and supply chain, to develop, enhance, and commercialize new products and differentiated solutions.
61 Execute various activities such as prototyping, laboratory work, technical service, troubleshooting, and hands-on tasks.
61 Deliver project results on schedule, ensuring both quality and feasibility in alignment with business needs.
61 Introduce new technologies through knowledge exchange with technology experts to identify improvement opportunities for the business.
61 Ensure compliance with global Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, intellectual property protection, and regulatory requirements.
61 Gain a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and processes.
61 Develop, formulate, and characterize new technically advanced materials as outlined in the product development roadmap.
61 Propose improvements to existing production practices based on industry benchmarks and best practices, including tooling and fixture design, to enhance quality.
61 Support the operations team with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving initiatives.
Job Requirements:
61 PhD degree or Master's degree with 5 years of relevant experience in Polymer Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering is required.
61 Experience in formulation development, Design of Experiments (DOE), and industrial working experience is a plus.
61 Preferred experience in the manufacturing processes of rubber-related materials.
61 Excellent logical thinking and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
61 Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
61 Fluent in both English and Mandarin, with proficiency in written, verbal, and presentation skills.
61 Willingness and ability to travel to client sites, partner manufacturing locations, and company facilities as necessary.
61 Flexibility to support global project teams outside of standard business hours.
