Position introduction The Finance Director is the key executive responsible for leading and overseeing all financial activities of Edscha China, while providing functional leadership, coaching, and support to finance and accounting teams across the Asia region. The role encompasses financial planning and analysis, forecasting the profitability of existing and new programs, budget preparation and expenditure monitoring, capital investment control, treasury management, and the financial controls review of new business quotations. The Finance Director must effectively engage with stakeholders at all organizational levels, including executive management, and is expected to mentor and develop financial analysts and controllers in both technical finance expertise and broader business acumen. The position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer of Edscha Asia and is functionally aligned with the Group Chief Financial Officer at Edscha headquarters. The incumbent holds professional and disciplinary responsibility for Finance and Accounting, Project Controlling, and Project Calculation, and works in close coordination with Finance Directors across the Edscha Group. Reporting Line: • Direct: CEO Edscha Asia • Functional (dotted): Group CFO (Germany) • Close coordination with Gestamp (Spain) Job Task • Lead and supervise a team of financial analysts and controllers responsible for financial management of existing and new programs, including capital forecasting • Coordinate the annual budget preparation process and monitor budget execution • Analyze and explain variances between budgeted and actual financial results • Provide daily leadership, guidance, and performance management to the finance organization • Mentor analysts, controllers, and plant finance teams in finance fundamentals and business-oriented financial evaluation • Review capital expenditure submissions from corporate and plant entities on a monthly basis, identifying risks and opportunities • Monitor program financial performance and ensure timely escalation of deviations • Ensure implementation and compliance with IFRS and Edscha financial policies and processes • Coordinate monthly financial reviews for existing and new programs, including executive-level program reviews • Oversee tooling and trade accounts receivable from customers and coordinate weekly AR aging reviews • Manage and optimize working capital • Review and assess capital spending analyses and investment proposals • Coordinate capital and financial reporting to Edscha headquarters in Germany and Gestamp corporate in Spain • Coordinate and review cash flow forecasting for tooling investments and capital expenditures • Lead daily cash management activities and perform financial analysis to support management decisions • Oversee product cost calculation, cost estimation, PER preparation, and the related approval processes • Lead all leasing-related financial activities • Coordinate and manage internal and external annual financial audits • Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with banking and financial partners • Coordinate strategic financing initiatives in alignment with Germany and Spain • Prepare management and Board of Managers presentations related to capital planning and cash flow forecasting • Participate in and lead the financial review of new business quotations • Support the Sales organization in claim management from a financial perspective • Implement and maintain integrated tracking and monthly reporting systems for tooling, gauges, and EDD (lump sum and amortization), from RFQ through PER to actual performance • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the CEO of Edscha Asia Candidate Profile Education background • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage Work Experience • Minimum of ten (10) years of hands-on experience in a corporate finance environment • Prior exposure to manufacturing industries is strongly preferred; experience within the automotive supplier industry is highly desirable • At least five (5) years of proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role (mandatory requirement) Knowledge, Skills and Ability • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities combined with sound business judgment • Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated leadership qualities • Confident, professional, and persuasive executive presence • Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment • Solid experience in financial modeling and financial analysis • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Working knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP systems Physical and Mental Requirements The physical and mental demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position: 1. Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented verbally 6. Ability to clearly communicate information and ideas verbally so that others can understand 7.
