About the Team • This position is responsible for managing Cost Engineering and VAVE activities for cost competiveness and cost leadership What you can look forward to as Cost Engineering/VAVE Supervisor: • Leading and coordinating with cross function team on cost leadership activitities including cost engineering both design/production engineering, benchmarking, target cost setting, VAVE etc to support company business development with profitable growth • Manage the identification of design and process changes related to Value Analysis / Value Engineering. Apply a variety of product design, material and process technologies. • Evaluate cost reduction and product improvement ideas with respect to technical feasibility, financial benefit and customer acceptance. • Ensure close cooperation with internal and external groups including Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, PM, Suppliers (and customers). • Produce business cases for thoroughly and cross-functionally evaluated VAVE-changes and submit for approval by senior management. • Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, tooling and process modifications, testing, PPAP, customer approval and manufacturing launch. • Provide updates/presentations to management. Your Profile as Cost Engineering/VAVE Supervisor: • Must be highly motivated, assertive, able to work independently, manage projects to predefined timelines and deadlines and drive ideas through completion. • Possess an understanding and ability to apply a variety of product design, material and process technologies. • Possess knowledge and experience or alternatively learn value methodology to support workshops. • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, creativity and a passion for cost reduction. • Possess ability to communicate to both executive and lower levels of management through presentations and detailed analysis. • Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt certification preferred • Education: Minimum of bachelor’s degree in electrical or related engineering field. • Language: Fluent in English language (spoken and written; technical and non-technical).
